Steps to Delete WordPress Plugin Via Softaculous in cPanel
Step-1: First, Login to cPanel.
Step-2: Upon accessing your cPanel account, scroll down to find ‘Software’. In the ‘Software’ section, you will see ‘WordPress Manager by Softaculous’. Click on it.
Step-3: Once you open the ‘WordPress Manager by Softaculous’, you will see an arrow beside the ‘Up to Date’ button on the right corner of the window. Just click on it.
Step-4: Upon clicking the arrow, you will see two options appearing on the same side of the screen. Among the two, select ‘Manage Plugins’
Step-5: After clicking on ‘Manage Plugins’, you will be redirected to a new screen where you will find an ‘Installed’ section on the left side of the window. The section will have a list of plugins with a ‘Delete’ section on the right corner of every plugin.
You can press delete on all the plugins you want to remove, and there you have it. Plugins will be permanently deleted from your WordPress site.
Additional note – if you want to disable the plugins on a temporary basis, that can be done too! Find the ‘Status’ bar exactly beside the ‘Delete’ section and turn off the toggle next to each plugin you do not wish to use.

Steps to Delete WordPress Plugins Via File Manager in cPanel
Step-1: Login to cPanel
Step-2: Upon login, navigate to the ‘Files’ section to locate the ‘File Manager’.
Step-3: Once you find the ‘File Manager’, click on it, and a new window will be opened on the screen & Navigate below to ‘public_html’ and tap on it.
Step-4: Upon clicking on ‘public_html’, you will see a list of directories appear on the screen. Find the ‘wp’ directory among the list and click on it.
Step-5: In ‘wp-content’, you will see multiple directories. Find the ‘Plugins’ directory among the directories and click on it.
Step-6: In the ‘Plugins’ folder, a list of plugins will be shown on your screen. Right-click on the plugin and select the ‘Delete’ option from the menu.
That’s it! You have successfully deleted the plugin.
Please Note – In case you plan to disable the plugin on a temporary basis, right-click on the plugin and choose the ‘Rename’ option from the menu. Now all you need to do is rename the file and add disable in the end.
